Dear Graham Families,

The next week we are looking forward to Open House on Thursday, February 7th, 6-7PM. The following week the PTA Valentine Celebrations will be on Thursday, February 14th from 2:15 to 3:15PM. Room parents at each grade level have been working collaboratively to plan activities for the students during the celebration, which will include crafts and games. Please be aware valentines may be passed out previous to the celebration, depending upon the Room parents’ and teachers’ plans. Additionally, please do not send candy with your child’s valentines. We have several students who have food allergies or other health concerns. Thank you for your understanding.

Vision & Hearing Testing

Vision & Hearing Screening will now take place the week of February 4th. These screening tests are mandated by the Department of Public Health at specific times during a child’s educational experience. If your child wears glasses, please make sure they have them in school on testing days. Vision screening is not a substitute for a complete eye and vision evaluation by an eye doctor. Your child is not required to undergo this vision screening if an optometrist or ophthalmologist has completed a signed a report indicating that an examination has been administered within the previous twelve months and that evaluation is on file at the school. Vision and hearing screenings are not optional. If an examination report is not on file at school for your child, then your child in the mandated age/grade/group will be screened.

The 5Essentials Survey

Thank you to everyone who completed the 5Essentials Survey. We made the target! I appreciate the time and effort it took to complete the questionnaire.

Jump Rope for Heart

The Jump Rope for Heart event is on February 8th. Please look for information from Mr. Cooper regarding this exciting day! Volunteers are always needed during the event.
