Blessings in a Backpack:
Graham Elementary is in our 4th year partnering with Blessings in a Backpack to support the students of Olney Allen Elementary in Aurora, IL for our school-wide Community Service Project. The Blessings in a Backpack program provides food for 400 students in need during the weekend. In addition to the food we will be packing for our first event this year, we are also holding a care package drive to provide these students with new winter hats, mittens/gloves, and scarves. Please continue to send in these items, along with Walmart or Dollar Tree Gift cards so we can purchase them, by our first packing event on Monday November 18th. If you would like to send an e-gift card for us to purchase items for you, here is a link... https://giftcards.walmart.com/ip/Basic-Blue-Walmart-eGift-Card/653984410

Butter Braid order forms went home in backpacks last week and are due by November 18th. Make sure to submit your form and enjoy some baked goodies this winter!

Holiday Class Gift:
Please keep a look out for a note coming home in your child’s backpack about a class gift for their teacher. The room parents will be coordinating a gift from the entire class (if you choose to participate). All details will be forthcoming.

Toy Drive:
Graham is again partnering with Gift Mart Wheatland Community in holding a toy drive to benefit under resourced children in Indian Prairie School District 204. These families come from households in financial stress whom may not otherwise be able to afford gifts for the holidays. Gift Mart is a program that provides families who qualify with a “hand up” during the holiday season. Parents and guardians are invited to a toyshop where they can purchase new toys for only $2.00 per toy. 100% of the proceeds made from the sale of each toy will be donated back to qualifying schools to fund much needed resources. Please consider donating a new, unwrapped toy that is safe for children ages 6-12. Toy boxes are by the front office and ready to go! Boxes will be up until December. Your generosity and giving spirit are appreciated!

DirectorySpot:
We will be sending an email out this week with instructions on how to access the online directory via the Directory Spot app. We are excited to offer this benefit to our Graham PTA Members again this year.

Teacher Grants:
This year, we were honored to be able to distribute teacher grant funds in the amount $100 to each grade K-5 PTA member teacher. We know how much hard work, time, and resources go into all they do and we hope this helps!

Thank yous:
Thank you to everyone who came out for Girls Choice at Bowlero last Wednesday night! A great time was had by all! Special thanks to Jennifer Amato who made it happen!
