Dear Graham Families,
We enjoyed a Graham School Chorus concert on Tuesday! This year the chorus performed in the morning for our students and in the evening for family and friends. Thank you to Mrs. Muno and the Chorus Members for an incredible performance.
This year we are able once again to offer the Girls on the Run After School Club. Please be on the look out for information and registration after Winter Break.
I am also pleased to announce the return of the Yearbook Club! Mrs. Stone and Mrs. Skrip are the co-advisors. If you are in 5th Grade and are interested in working on yearbook this year, please fill out the attached form. If there is a large response, the participants will be selected by lottery. Students accepted into the Yearbook Club will be notified on Friday, Dec. 20th.
Health Office Request
The Health Office needs elastic waist pants for both boys and girls. Gently used garments that your children have outgrown would be greatly appreciated. If your child needs of a change of clothes during the school day, we kindly ask that you wash them so they are ready for use for the next student who may need to borrow them.
Week of December 16 - 20
To honor the joy and spirit of the holiday season, we would like to end the year by celebrating with a school-wide spirit week Dec. 16th through Dec. 20th. Happy Holidays to all of our Graham families!

Students and staff are looking forward to the Winter Celebrations that will take place in each classroom on Friday, December 18th, from 2:15 – 3:15 PM. All room party volunteers will enter into the building using Door #2, gather in the MPR and then go to your child's classroom at 2:00, the parties begin at 2:15. Please remember if you have not already been entered into the Raptor System, we will need to enter your license into our system. All party volunteers will check-in at the PTA Table to receive a volunteer tag. Please place your tag in a visible area on your person. Room parents at each grade level have worked hard to plan activities for the students to participate in during the celebration, which includes crafts and games. It will be a great way to kick off Winter Break!
E-Learning in D204
The State of Illinois has made available the option for school districts to hold e-learning days instead of canceling school when there is severe weather. Our district may use this option, if needed, starting this winter. This new approach provides the opportunity to have a continuum of instruction that models for students that learning can happen anywhere and anytime. It also helps students further develop the technical and organizational skills necessary to work independently.
If severe weather prevents our schools from opening, we will announce an e-learning day the same way we have informed you in the past of weather-related school closings. The announcement will be made by 6 a.m. and posted first on Twitter (@ipsd204) and at www.ipsd.org. We will also make a Connect ED phone call to alert you of the information.
Please visit our FAQ to learn more about e-learning days.
School work for your student in grades Kdg – 1st grade will be sent home in advance of the possibility of a severe weather cancellation of school. Please do not do the work with your child unless a day is called off by our Superintendent. Grades 2nd – 5th will utilize student’s chrome books for access to classroom lessons and will be sent that day.
Third-Party Educational Programs
The following companies have rented space in our schools to offer an after-school educational program for students. The distribution of this material is in no way an endorsement of programs, services, activities or products by District 204. For more information about the programs listed below, visit:
