News From the Nest - March 18th
Dear Graham Families,
Welcome to e-learning! This morning you should have received an email or had access to academic tasks for your student. If you are having trouble or are unable to open something, please email the teacher or me.
If you need assistance or support, please call 630-375-3890 or email email@example.com. Remember, please be patient and know your question will be sent to the correct person who will respond to you as soon as they are able. If you or your child has a question related to technology for e-learning, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Let’s stay in touch. Many of the teachers and I will be sending videos of us reading a story. I hope your student enjoys seeing the staff on the small screen. We would also like to encourage you and join us in participating in Graham's e-spirit days. Each day the Graham PTA will share an e-spirit day post. To join in, reply with a comment/picture. It will be a great way to see pictures of friends! We’re going to begin thee-spirit days on Friday. See below:

Guidelines for e-learning –Classroom teachers will email families each day by 9:05 AM.
Throughout the school day, classroom teachers will check their email and google classroom for student and parent questions
Kindergarten and First Grade students received materials earlier in the school year. The classroom teacher will also communicate through email.
Second, through fifth-grade students will receive assignments through google classroom and teacher email.
Chrome Book reminder: Please be sure your child keeps their chrome book charged. If the battery gets low and drains, your child may have issues with the device turning back on. If you have any problems with your child’s chrome book, contact the district at email@example.com
The teachers and I check our email periodically throughout the day. Here’s a suggested time for each subject, per grade level.
15 –20 minutes per subject for our Kdg – 1st graders
20 – 30 minutes per subject for our 2nd – 3rd graders
30 – 40 minutes per subject for our 4th and 5th graders.
Movement or game breaks, arts and craft activities, exercise, chores, quiet time, and electronic free time will help make the learning fun and less tedious. After a snack or lunch break is a great time to begin a new academic task.
Please note: Preschool families should look at the preschool website/ information from Principal Osborne regarding activities and resources for preschool-aged students.
Be healthy, and see you soon.
