Our process for returning items to your child and accepting materials from your family
is based on practicing social distancing and ensuring a controlled process for all.
CLEARLY identify the name of your child/children on the
DRIVER SIDE dash of your vehicle in Black Ink (Maker or computer printed if possible). Names should be printed legibly.
Once you enter the circle drive, Mrs. Stone will direct you to a numbered cone (for social distancing purposes please keep your window up). Staff will be utilizing radios to signal another staff member to retrieve your student’s materials from the gym.
It is essential vehicles remain in order, please do not move out of your place in line.
Please stop at the numbered cone assigned to you by Mrs. Stone (There will be 8 cones)
Cars will move through the circle drive in groups of 8— please remain in order.
Staff will deliver student materials directly to your vehicle. Please do not get out of your vehicle.
Staff will be utilizing the following delivery options:
Trunk/hatchback (Preferred location): Use this option if your vehicle allows for the driver to open the trunk from inside the vehicle. Student materials will be placed in the trunk.
Passenger seat: The driver will roll down the window and materials will be placed in the seat
Medication Pick-Up - Students needing to pick up medication will have to note that on their name tag. Medication pick up will be located near the flag pole. Staff will return medication to parents only. Parents must have an ID. Any medication not picked up at this time will be available when we return to school in the fall.
Parents will need to drive to the school to maintain social distancing. In the interest of safety for you and for our staff, we ask that you follow these procedures when you arrive for your scheduled pickup time:
Please review the attached map for traffic flow
Create a sign (8 ½ x 11 paper size) with your child(ren)’s last name, first name
Place the sign on the driver side dashboard, visible to the staff.
Drivers should turn on their hazard flashers while they are in line.
Be prepared to return library books, textbooks, and/or broken Chromebooks. Place them in a plastic bag with your child’s name on the bag and put the bag in your car’s trunk.
Enter the carline following the directions on the map and instructions from the staff.
Once your car reaches the designated spot, please open the trunk and/or window. DO NOT GET OUT OF YOUR VEHICLE. A staff member will place your child’s items in your trunk and collect the items in your trunk that you are returning. Make sure your child’s name is on the bag for the items you are returning.
Staff will not be going into the building to retrieve other items.
If you have medication or medical devices to pick-up from the school nurse, please drive your car to the
nurse’s pickup station. A staff member will bring items to you and place them in your trunk. The nurses’ pickup station will be located in the front parking lot, on the sidewalk adjacent to the flag pole.
Items (excluding medications) not picked up will be donated.
If you have any questions, please contact your child’s homeroom teacher.
