Hello Graham Parents,

Welcome to Graham Elementary PTA! We are looking forward to a great year of learning and fun for our kids. Our PTA serves to enhance the educational environment right here at Graham. We fund and organize a variety of educational enrichment programs, health and safety activities and social events for the students at Graham. Additionally, we support our staff with hospitality throughout the year and give back to the community with several service projects. We invite you all to get involved. Whether you have a little time or a lot of time, there is something for everyone. Volunteer for a committee, contribute to a fundraising activity, attend monthly meetings, or call us with feedback or a new idea! The PTA is a great way to get involved, meet new friends and give back to our fabulous school and staff.

Hello Graham Students,

It is that time of the year again to showcase your artistic talents and participate in the National PTA’s Reflection Program!!
Each year, students in Grades K through 12 are recognized for bringing the theme to life through the arts. This is a great Program and all students are encouraged to express their thoughts and feelings based on the theme through the creative arts!! The Reflections team at Graham is looking forward to a great participation this year from its art loving students!

Graham Reflections



National PTA Reflections is America’s oldest and largest arts education program of its kind. The program was developed in 1969 by Colorado’s PTA President Mary Lou Anderson to encourage students to explore their talents and express themselves. Since then, the Reflections Program has inspired millions of students to reflect on a specific theme and create original artwork.

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. This group has been formed to establish and offer STEM based enrichment activities to GRAHAM students. The main objective of the STEM Awareness Program is to spark an interest in science, technology, engineering, and math for students of all ages. Students will be exposed to areas of STEM that have practical applications, and will be encouraged to recognize these concepts in their everyday life.

Plant Sale

Graham PTA is excited for our 5th Annual Spring Plant Sale.  Available for pre-order now are annual flower, vegetable plants, patio pots and hanging baskets.

Our supplier, Nash Greenhouses in Kalamazoo, MI, provides us with high quality plants.  We have received positive feedback from Graham families the past few years.  

Plant order forms are due Wednesday, April 5th
Pick up is the Friday before Mother's Day, May 12th, from 12 pm - 5pm in the parking lot in from of Graham School, rain or shine.  If you are unable to pick up your order during this time, we have delivery available to River Run and High Meadow residents for $5.
Ordering is simple, complete the order form, total plants ordered by group, total cost for each group and included your check made out to Graham PTA.

Graham PTA’s Guide To Growing Plants With Your Children......

It's OK to get dirty.  Dirt happens and that it's perfectly natural — maybe even fun.

Kids think differently.  Children may choose silly color combinations which may end up to be beautiful and cutting edge.  Let them experiment and do their own thing.

Graham Elementary PTA
"Go For The Gold" Walkathon
September 30, 2016

The Graham PTA is hosting our annual fundraising event, the "Go For The Gold" Walkathon. Walkathon is a fun event that students look forward to participating in every year. It is our main fundraiser for the year—100% of the funds raised through Walkathon go back to Graham School and your students. Classroom parties, the Accelerated Reader Program, STEM Science Fair, and many more events and programs are sponsored by the Graham PTA. Walkathon Donations make these programs possible.

Our goal is to raise at least $9,200 this year to support PTA programming. We would love to have 100% of all students participate in our fundraising efforts. Any donation amount is welcome!


Prizes! Prizes! Prizes!

  • For every donation, regardless of amount, students will receive a personalized star on the Multipurpose Room Stage!
  • For every $25 donation, students will receive an engraved Graham Falcon keychain! (Students will receive their keychain of choice on a first come, first serve basis)
  • $100 + donations earn the coveted Golden Torch keychain!!
  • Prize packages will be awarded to the top individual earners (including Color Me Mine, SkyZone, Crossfit Resurgence, and others)
  • Top 2 earning classrooms will receive a classroom celebration!

Students may collect donations online at or send in this form along with a cash/check dona-tion in the attached envelope. Please make checks payable to Graham PTA.

Donations are tax deductible. Any donation amount is appreciated. Donations for prizes will be accepted up until September 30. Keychains will be distributed each Friday (starting September 9) or qualifying donations received that week.


Programs/Events Supported by the PTA

The funds raised at the "Go For The Gold" Walkathon help pay for these school programs that enhance our children’s education, as well as several social events throughout the year including:

  • Sponsor Classroom Parties
  • Funds and runs the Accelerated Reader Program
  • Contributes funds to LMC to purchase new books
  • Provides teacher grants and classroom wish lists
  • Supports author visits and school assemblies
  • Sponsors the STEM Science Fair
  • Funds ART Awareness Supplies
  • Sponsors Girls Choice Event and Boys Choice Event
  • Sponsors Staff Appreciation Week and Teacher luncheons for Back to School/Conferences
  • Provides the New Family Welcome Coffee
  • Sponsors Family Movie Night
  • Sponsors the 5th Grade year end event and Crone T-shirts
  • Sponsors Earth Week and Nutrition Weeks
  • Sponsors the Ice Cream Social
  • Contributes refreshments for Jump Rope for Heart and Field Day
  • Funded the creation of MakerSpace

Blessings in a Backpack Packing Event

January 16th 9:30am


Hi Graham Families!

Happy 2018!  Once again, we are partnering with Onley Allen Elementary School in Aurora, IL to help provide food over the weekends for the students on the Federal Free & Reduced Meal Program at their school.

We will have our second food packing event of the year on Tuesday, January 16th at Graham at 9:30am.  There is no school that day!  We will be packing shopping bags of food for about 300 students and then they will be delivered to Onley Allen Elementary by the PTA.  You do not need to bring anything, just yourself!  This is a nice way to help the community and participate in a fun event with your child!
