Music
Each child is inherently musical. We develop these musical
skills through singing, playing instruments, composing, listening, moving, and playing
games using music from various styles and cultures.

Assessment
Students are given written and performance assessments
throughout the year. There are also district assessments given in grades 2-5. In 2nd and
5th grade, students are given a written district assessment. In 3rd and 4th grade,
students are given district performance assessments.
Chorus
Any fourth or fifth grader is invited to join chorus. In
chorus, we develop vocal technique, reading music, expression, responsibility, and
team-working skills by singing music from various styles and backgrounds. We rehearse
every Tuesday morning starting at 7:50 a.m. We give three performances each school year.
Fine Arts Festival
This arts festival takes place in May at both high schools
and showcases the different artistic achievements of students from Elementary through High
School.
Evening Musical
Performances
Kindergarten, Second Grade, and Fifth Grade give evening
musical performances for family and friends. All students are encouraged to participate.
