District 204, the Indian Prairie Parents’ Council, and GreenState Credit Union Honor Outstanding Volunteers

District 204 and GreenState Credit Union are proud to recognize Jon Guerrero, whose dedication and service have made a meaningful impact on students, staff, and families at Graham Elementary School. He has been named a first semester IPPC Growing Involvement Valuing Education (GIVE) Award recipient in recognition of his outstanding commitment to supporting District 204.

Jon is the proud father of Adrian, a fourth grader, and Tyson, a first grader, both of whom attend Graham Elementary. He works as an accountant and enjoys outdoor exercise. Jon and his wife, Kristina, are also big sports fans and especially enjoy the National Football League playoff season — go Bears!

He currently serves as PTA President and is actively involved in many school programs, including Watch D.O.G.S., classroom parties, Jump Rope for Heart, Art Awareness, Trunk or Treat, and the Falcon Fundraiser. He is always willing to step in wherever help is needed and consistently makes a positive impact on students, staff, and families.

Jon is supported by the entire Graham community, including the PTA Board, committee chairs, and staff. He also maintains a strong partnership with Principal Witkowski, working together to create opportunities and strengthen programs across the school.

The IPPC GIVE Award honors volunteers who exemplify the spirit of service and engagement within District 204. GreenState Credit Union partners with District 204 to recognize three volunteers each semester who generously give their time to support students and schools. In celebration of these outstanding volunteers, GreenState donates $500 to each honoree’s school.

District 204 and GreenState Credit Union are proud to recognize two volunteers whose dedication and service have made a meaningful impact on students, staff, and families across our schools. Krishna Prasad Voora of Hill Middle School and Kiersten Selby of Waubonsie Valley High School have been named first semester IPPC GIVE (Growing Involvement Valuing Education) award recipients in recognition of their outstanding commitment to supporting District 204.

Krishna Prasad Voora has been a dedicated parent volunteer at Hill Middle School and the proud parent of Adhithi Voora, an eighth-grade student. Through his ongoing support of students, staff, and families, Krishna has played an active role in strengthening the Hill community. He serves as a PDAC liaison and PTSA member and is always willing to help wherever needed. His volunteer efforts include supporting Hill Topper events, Science Olympiad, Teacher Appreciation lunches, intercultural celebrations, and the Learning Media Center.

Kiersten Selby has been an outstanding volunteer at Waubonsie Valley High School. She is the proud parent of two sons who have been part of the Warrior community for the past six years—Trent, a Waubonsie Valley graduate, and Wesley, a current senior. Kiersten has devoted countless hours volunteering in our schools, supporting Waubonsie Valley football and lacrosse teams, the Warrior Wearhouse, Senior Sailabration, the Waubonsie Valley Golf Outing, and stepping in wherever help was needed. Her involvement has positively impacted students, staff, and families across the district and has helped ensure the success of many school programs.
